Modification pathway questions

Since I have had time to think about it while I've been trying to sell my Supra, I have put together a list of the mods I want to do on my Evo with the money I make on the sale + whatever I have to kick in. Some of the things I am very sure about. Some, I still am not at all sure about. Here is the preliminary list of the master plan:

Buschur Racing Stage 3 Shortblock w/ J&E Pistons & Crower Rods
Buschur Racing Stage 3 Head (Fully ported, valve springs & Retainers, valve job, polished, o-ringed)
Cams? HKS 272? Buschur spec?
ARP Headstuds
Complete Engine Gasket Kit
New Front Cover w/ Oil Pump
Greddy Kevlar Timing Belt
Timing Belt Tensioner
Buschur Racing Motor Mounts
Buschur Racing Twin Intank Fuel Pump System
Buschur Racing Coil On Plug Ignition
Buschur Ported intake manifold
Buschur Racing 65mm Throttlebody
Bushwacker Tranny Build with Cryo treatment
Exedy twin plate clutch (which one)?
Buschur Racing 3" Turboback Exhaust
Buschur Racing Manual Boost Bontroller? or other MBC or EBC?
Buschur Racing Mass Air Pipe and Filter w/ 4" to 3" coupling for Turbo Kit
Buschur Racing Upper Intercooler Piping
Buschur Racing Mini Battery Kit
Buschur Racing Fuel Injectors XXXXXXcc? How big?
Buschur Racing AEM EMS FULL Kit? or stock ECU flashing or other? I want to be able to quickly switch between maps for 91 and 100 octane. Is there a unit that will plug in to the AEM similar to the Cobb Accessport to allow me to switch maps without having to have a laptop hooked up in the car at all times?
Buschur Racing Shifter Bushings
Full Race EVO8/9 GT30R Turbo Kit with:
Full-Race Twinscroll Turbo manifold
Full Race GT3076R Twinscroll Turbo
Full-Race 3” Downpipe
Full-Race VerticalFlow Intercooler
Full-Race Intercooler Piping
(2) Tial 44mm Wastegates
Tial 50mm Blow Off Valve
Defi-Link BF series Boost/EGT/OP gauges
AEM all-in-one wideband or plug in for AEM EMS if I go that route? or other?
Water/Methanol injection? what brand? safety features?
Coilover brand for street setup?
Winter tires on stock rims and switch the stock tires to XXXXX rims (want to stick with 17s)?

What kind of Mustang dyno numbers could a set up like this SAFELY put down on 91 octane/100 octane/91+meth/100+meth at highest safe boost/afr's?

This will be a daily driver. Besides the time to modify/tune the vehicle, how often should I expect a vehicle like this to be down for repairs if I do not totaly thrash it (no dragstrip, road course every other month or so, driven daily)? I will not spare any expense to have the vehicle built right and I will not want to push any part on the vehicle close to its limit. If the turbo can make 525whp I will only push it to say 500whp, if you see what I mean.

Any comments would be appreciated. Especially in the areas where I am not yet sure which way to go.

Thanks

How much horse you going for ? And with everything listed your well on your way to 400+. With that 30R you will be able to hit 500 but with that in mind you said you didnt want to come close to the limits on any of the parts so maybe you should opt for the TS 35R.

I would like to hit the 500whp mark on a Mustang dyno. Not sure if these mods are enough to do it with room to spare. Really looking for a car that could hit low 11's or high 10's while still having quick spool.

Thanks for the post

Any other thoughts on the mod list and the items that are still in question? Anything that needs to be added to make the build more reliable or just better in general (i.e. brake kit, gauges, etc.)?

Thanks

your low 11s will be made easily with that set up. One of my friends runs the Full race TS 3076. Stock 2.0, stock head, All bolts ons revovler cams 1000cc, and stock ecu. Running 26-27 psi runs 11.2 @126. I can see high 10s with his set up running c16. I am sure he will chime in here. He has a 3 bar map sensor and on the road he is at full boost around 3900 rpms

Thanks for the post. I know that C16 is a great drag fuel but the most potent mixture I may run will be 100 octane plus meth. I'm not even sure if I'll do the meth. Does your buddy have quick spool? How is the spool vs. stock?

Thanks again

I went back and added that part of my post. Me on stock turbo according to my map sensor I am at full boost by 3300-3400rpm. His 30r is reaching full boost just under 3900 rpms

That's not bad at all. I could easily live with full boost by 3900 rpm. What is he using to flash his ECU? Does he take it somewhere or does he get maps from the internet? Or is he one of those people who can create the map themselves?

I know that people are finding more amazing things to do with the stock ECU on a daily basis. But I wonder if the AEM would be easier to use to integrate boost control and meth/alky failsafe measures, and to make instant map switches on the fly?

Thanks

IMO Since I have had a 3076R setup I would probably be better and easier to hit the 500 mark with a 35r. I had real aggressive cams (Original GSC 280s) and my spool was about 3500-4000rpms to full spool at 30psi. Spool wouldn't be much worse than that with a 35r. Just something to consider. Blake.

hello. thanks kreionic.

im the guy with the full race twin scroll 30r kit. i hit full boost 25psi 93oct tuned at 3843rpm. car halls AAAAA till 7800rpm.

on pump gas tune i went 11.2 at 126.56mph and i feel i can still do better.

on a c16 tune im sure i can rip into the 10s but i need to get the tune 1st. not looking to good though before the track closes for the year. and when it dose the car is going back under the knife for a built block and a 35 or 40r kit.

if your looking for a street setup this is the kit to have. even though its a high price its well worth it. im actually changing my setup again to a 35r twin scroll or posibly the 40r twin scroll. i never got tuned on 100oct or c16 and i never been on a dyno with this setup.

i daily drive my car and even with wild cams on stock ecu and this turbo kit its great. on boost response is insanely fast. i was worried about lag and all the bad sides to a big turbo but i made a good choice here.

i fear nobody now. hehehe. if you want more info let me know.

Thanks for the replies.
I see on many of the threads that I have searched that people consistently say to go big or go home. I like the feel of the stock turbo as far as when the power kicks in. Many say to go with the 35R but I just wonder if its the power bug taking over. I think that I would need to take this first step to the 30R and see how I like it. It's fairly easy to swap out the turbo later if you're running the Full Race kit.
Who knows, the power bug might just catch me. We'll have to give it some time.

Just so I don't get to far off track from the original intent of the thread, does any one have any other ideas/thoughts on the items I had listed in blue. These are areas that I am not yet sure what to go with. Once again, I want to make power, but reliable power. No cutting corners within reason.

Thanks
