I just got a new quote from my insurance company. We're working on getting some more discounts of some sort.
110/month on State Farm (switching from Progressive), who I have my cycle through.

in new jersey, east Orange no less(city beside newark) n my insurance is $2800 for the year full coverage and i have no tickets and points with a pretty clean driving record. jus goes to show you that it depends on where you live is the biggest factor. happy i dont have a car payment.
i'm insured through allstate on Long Island paying $154/mo with 1 ticket (20+ over which is a major conviction in NY) in the last 3 years. before i bought the evo i saw many threads discussing how expensive it was to insure but i find it to be very reasonable.
Agree with orginal post!
BTW California is worst: I'm 32 and have an almost perfect driving record (no accident ever, the only ticket I've ever gotten was a lame speeding ticket in a Camry 4 years ago), yet I'm paying 900+/6 months.

This thread did take a slight detour.
It does seem that more Evo incidents, be it vandalism, an accident, or whatever have been popping up in the past 1.5 months.
No offense to the younger Evo owners but the majority are from males under the age of 25, which is a demographic we all know insurance companies love.
BTW........
I pay just over $1,800 a year for my Evo and my daily driver using GEICO with some government discounts.
I've gotten 1 ticket in my life (parking) and have 1 (no fault) accident.
Turned 30 a few months ago.

what kind of government discounts? i work for local government
I cannot wait to turn 25 soon
Call GEICO and tell them what government agency you work for.
They should be able to tell you if a discount can be applied based on GEICO's affiliations with certain federal, state, or local agencies.
