gonna insurethe evo help.

well gonna get an evo on tuesday i alll goes well, i think the guy and me striked a deal.

well heres the story, me and my dad have the same name, same middle name, last name, and first name. so right now my insurance card for my echo has 2 same names for that car.

im just paying insurance to be safe you know? you never know what might happen out there in the real world lol. and we do it not to try to cheat the system.

in the evo im gonna be making the payments and my mom and dad are gonna 50-50 the insurnce. so im asking

im 17 no accidents and i been driving for 3 years (2 with a permit an 1 with a license) oh and i live in las vegas. obiously im gonna be driving th evo as my DD and if we say that the evo is my dads and that i will EXTREMELY RARELY will drive the evo im i expecting less then 250 a month?

btw i know asking to see how much insurance would cost over the internet is useless but im asking you all what you would do in my case

i dont wana cheat and just get evo insured to my dad *he is 45 so insurance is gonna be a bargain* what if some dumbass crashes into me and crap

if you get in an accident you say it's your dad's car and he allows you to drive it (insert day here) every week because it sits in the garage a lot

Can't you put the Evo in your dads name as a primary driver and just have you as a secondary driver? That would save you some$$$$.

This is simple. If you can't afford the insurance, you can't afford the car.

Don't worry bout it. If you are 17 and living under your parents roof, then their insurance will cover you, the car is insured, not the driver. When I turned 16, even though I didn't have a driver's licence, my parents insurance went up.

Insurance accounts for this type of scam already. That being said, I currently am 31, and because I travel for a living and have no "home" I claim my parents residence as mine, and get a multi-car discount!

Multi car,
Multi vehicle, and
Multi policy, discounts add up with state farm!

I hear that. I currently own a '06 Titan and '05 Frontier (Evo should be here Tues. or Wed. at the latest), and my parents live with me. We have all of our insurance together through State Farm. The discounts really do add up very quickly, lol. I pay less than $100/mo. for either truck, and they're both insured with me as the primary driver. Oh, and I'm 22, BTW.

Actually, the most ridiculous one is the '86 Ford Thunderbird that I got for my Brother to drive around. We insured it with my Dad as the primary driver, and the insurance is like $8/mo. It's hillarious.

if you cant afford FULL coverage... then get just LIABILITY... going NO COVERAGE is the stupidest idea anyone can think of. What happenes when you kill someone??? Just cuz "insurance was more than 300" you are costing your future wages and your parents house... thats STUPID...

be smart, and if you really can afford LIABILITY ONLY, dont buy the car....

you need to think about other people, as rare as it may be that you hurt someone, dont just think about yourself and your wallet here, that is ignorance....

I hope you use your senses and either step up and pay for full coverage, or at least get the minimums if you are that cheap. We all pay out our a$$es to help ourselves... Because we are NOT ignorant...

usually when there are more cars then full time drivers (meaning more cars than licenses in the household) insurance will go WAYYYY down on the left over cars, and the full time driven cars will be less too because you are insuring so many other cars... State Farm does give good discounts! thats for daym sure..

Good grades
Good driver (no accidents/tickets)
multi car
multi insurances (house, cars, life, etc)
age
and probably more i dont know of... You should look into them.
