Weight difference between american and european spec evo

American spec evo 9 comes 80 kg heavier than european spec evo 9

difference comes from added safety, anyone knows exaclty what parts
are added???

probably front bumper beam - 13lbs
rear bumper beam - 17 lbs
Door Crash beams ~ 20-40 lbs

80kg seems like A LOT. Are you sure its that big a difference?

Thats interesting because they have S-AYC... and we don't. But ours are still heavier...

duh, Americans are fatter, so the car weighs more too lol. Na i think its the beams like dudical26 said and the cat converter

that is strange, i would imagine Active Yaw Control would add some weight

but 80kg is nearly 200lbs, I just don't see them having that big a difference.
