trany cracked?

trany cracked?

putting in my forge wga today i seen something that don't look to good a crack in the trany housing heres a pic?how bad is this will it break soon can i get it welded,
a little help please thank you







from what i can tell the crack does not go any further back the that

no this is looking under the hood,where that hole is to see what kind of clutch it is,bad pic but it's in a hard spot to take a pic

You can get that welded yes. It appears that the crack goes around one of the 6 bolts connecting to the Transfer case, I would be sure that when you weld the crack to be sure that the bolt will line up.

....edit, nm, that appears to be the engine block...either way, make sure it lines up.

I'm sure a welding pro can do it. Noit the weekend welder though. I would have it fixed quickly. How did you find it? Was just luck or you had some kind of problem?

no there wouldn't be any fluid leaking from that spot. it is the bell housing and no fluid in it.

i dont know thats what im trying to figure out, my friends says it looks like when they bolted i to the block,it broke around the bolt?what do you mean by bump into something?i dont know im confused,im about to jb weld the bicth..
