i drive a 06 MR

have about 13k on the odometer and never changed the tanny fluid..
never raced or tracked.. regular normal driving
recently it have gotten a bit more notchy shifting from 1st to 2nd on slow shifts....
any ideas on how to solve this?
would changing the fluid solve this?
i've heard of adjusting the clutch pedal but i dunno..
would that solve it?
which way do i adjust it?

and to answer your question... after its warmed up it gets better.. but is still present at times...

it seems to go in smooth when i shift faster...

not really... he said it's been normal driving so the fluid should be ok, I think it's due to the temperature drop

 

rarley but sometimes it feels like a slight grind going into second thus raising my concern...

i know i need to change the fluid.. its time..

 

Do you feel a grind or is it notchy when cold? After the trans is warmed up do you still have these issues?

 

like i said it gets better... but its still there.. its wierd.. its on and off too.. like some days will be better than others..

i'm not too sure what it is.. it might be temperture drop..
does the clutch ever go "out" of adjustment? like i would have to adjust it?

 

As the clutch gets worn it will need adjusting so you can first try that. Then let the trans fluid warm up before you get on it. Grinding is never a good sign though. If after you adjust it it still grinds you can try changing the fluid. If none of those work you might eventually be looking at a rebuild.

 

hemm thats a good idea.. which way should i be adjusting the clutch pedal? up or down? lols

by the way how long after first starting the car would you say it takes for the tranny fluid to warm up?
