did you know that every 1000 FEET above the sea you lose 3.123% of your HP

Duh....and no, it's not a static 3.123% or any other number. There are many factors that come into play, and it's all about density altitude, not just altitude.
Anyway, what is the point of this thread? It's common knowledge that you lose power as altitude increases...

It's not 3.132 or anything like that - there is no static value.
Sacramento regularly has density altitudes well into the negatives (below 0), and they get some crazy trap speeds relative to their mods...

Then it doesn't mean anything if it's an average, and you did not state it was an average in the first post. It also is useless on this forum, because there is a huge difference between turbo and non-turbo cars. Then, among turbo cars, it depends on the efficiency of the turbo and how close to the efficiency max the turbo is being run...
