OK Update.

Parts arrived today as promised so I tackled the Evo this evening.

Lets take a look shall we.....?

A little closer....

Upon close inspection it's was obvious the upright/knuckle/hub call it what you will was knackered (I knew that from my first look).

Digging a little deeper I found there was damage to the upper control arm. Although the aluminum body not bent.... it was the steel pivot bar.

Here is a side by side against my replacement used part.

and a closer look of what the steel pivot bar is supposed to look like....

I checked were the pivot bar mounts to the shell and the holes look to be OK.

The lower control arm, trailing arm and strut are not damaged. Not as far as I can tell by comparing the parts and measuring them.

What I did find was that the ABS ring on the driveshaft is missing some teeth

Well that's no good and I imagine the ABS won't work so good like that so I need to replace that. I believe it's possible to buy new ABS rings and have them heat shrunk onto the driveshaft but it's probably worthwhile me just replacing the whole driveshaft.

So the jobs on hold. I need a new driveshaft so if anyone knows where I can get one from.... please PM me. That's all for now I hope you are enjoying the update.

How much is driveshaft from Mitsubishi?

wow, I completely misjudged a turn and hit the flat face of a concrete curb at about 30mph and didn't break any suspension components or bend any chassis parts. The car still aligns like a champ according to Robi.

All I did was bend my two passenger-side Volk LE-37Ts. Are you sure you were only going 10mph?

I'm going to do my best to translate this. Are you trying to say:

" I'm surprised you did that much damage hitting a curb at only 10mph" " I think I am a safe driver but I'm going to be extra careful after seeing this post".

Is that what you're trying to say?

If yes....I was also surprised with the amount of damage at such a low speed. I consider my self a safe driver as well.

Well to be honest I think it would be pretty hard to judge the speed of impact accurately.
A) I was going sideways at the time so the speedo would be useless
B) I don't think I'd be looking at the speedo when sliding sideways towards a curb

My guess would be 10-20mph....closer to 10mph.
