So who else doesn't drive their EVOs?
Well I am lucky enough to have another car and I work out of my car alot and believe me there is no way I am parking the Evo in the middle of Bourbon St. with magnetic company signs on it during one of the numerous events we have down here in New Orleans. Although the Tanabe TBE w/ testpipe may get some of those people walking down the street outta my way.
Mine just seems to sit in my garage and collect dust. I drive a 2003 P5 for work everyday and we take the wife's car we we go out as a family. Last week was the first time I drove the thing since June of 07. Went with the guys to the NBA Allstar stuff and took it (saw a white Evo and a blue WRX that both wanted to run
). Now the practical side of me says get rid of it but it would be like letting one of my kids go. As it sits right now it has 10k on it and will be 2 yrs old in April. Half of those miles are from two round trips from New Orleans, Louisiana to the Dragon. Anybody else out there like me?

I have about 29400 miles on the car and I bought it on 2003 May 15th. I don't want to get rid of it because I love it and it has never let me down but all those minor issues are making me have a second change of heart. My wing is still peeling (clear coat on carbon fiber and the brakes) and its looking bad. I'm thinking about getting a Bimmer.
I have a beater but i drive the evo when it snows and when it is bad out. It is better in the snow then the beater. plus the beater doesnt make me smile like i do when i drive the evo. I love my evo
mine baby also spends most of her time holding down the concrete in the garage. i have a company truck which i use for work, and i also use it to go out if the weather is not so nice. i pretty much only drive it whne its nice out, but seeing its winter here i almost never drive it now. not affraid to put miles on her, just not worth taking out if its crappy weather
22 months or so, and I have 8,200 miles. I wish I could drive her more, but with work and I inherited some kids so it is kind of tough. I will not park her at work, I get a new dent on my DD about twice a month at least. I put like 5,000 miles on real fast when I got her, but now she sits. She needs tires too, and I just do not have time to do it during the day so I can only take her out when it is nice and dry because the stockers are completely bald. I am buying a bike pretty soon, so that is going to eat into her time even more.
The thing is that I could make time to take her out, but everywhere worth driving is up in the hills, and I ALWAYS get stuck behind either a tool in a convertible mustang going 25 mph, a bigger tool in a wrx wagon going 20 mph, or some old guy in a caddy going 5 mph. Every fricking time. So instead of a 15 minute drive up, 1/2 hour to play, and 15 minutes to get back, it is a 2 hour + ordeal in which at best 1/2 hour is actually fun.
I would just turn her into a track car, but I do not have whole days to take off for the track nor the time to either work on her myself or deal with a shop and having them service her.
But...I still love my Evo, most fun car I have driven and I would not give her up.

Fair Weather Friend
My MR has only been caught out in the rain two times and once in the snow (luckily before someone thought about putting down salt and/or sand). Needless to say it only comes out in the sunshine or a light cloudy day.
The only problem now is deciding whether to drive the MR or my HD motorcycle when the weather is nice....at least the Evo has A/C for the really hot days.

I am just running into this problem. I bought mine brand new its an 06 and has almost 3k miles on it because I have been in Iraq. I plan on taking her cross country from CT-AZ and then from AZ-GA but after that I am thinking of picking up a beater for the weekdays to save on milage and overall wear and tear. Who know though becuase I love my Evo and if I walked out of my apartment with two sets of keys, it would be hard as hell not to fire her up.
