So who else doesn't drive their EVOs?

Mine just seems to sit in my garage and collect dust. I drive a 2003 P5 for work everyday and we take the wife's car we we go out as a family. Last week was the first time I drove the thing since June of 07. Went with the guys to the NBA Allstar stuff and took it (saw a white Evo and a blue WRX that both wanted to run ). Now the practical side of me says get rid of it but it would be like letting one of my kids go. As it sits right now it has 10k on it and will be 2 yrs old in April. Half of those miles are from two round trips from New Orleans, Louisiana to the Dragon. Anybody else out there like me?

I retired my EVO from DD duties and have'nt driven it in 3 months. I've changed the whlole setup of the car in that time and am beginning to get a little anxious to get it finished. I put 40K miles on the car before making it a weekend star and enjoyed every mile. Man will it be mean when it's done though, It's kinda like a sickness.

i try n not drive mine and just drive my beater but when i walk by it everyday i feel the need to take it out atleast once a week. its worth keepin the car just becuase of the feeling it gives u on those few times u take it out. drive it more often and take it for less long trips, u will enjoy it more that way.

Not me... I just try to drive it less.

I commute about 50 miles daily to work round trip. My weekday car is a 2005 Honda Accord LX sedan.

But as far as not driving it at all, I can't do that. I need my fix of boost atleast twice a week

You know, my friend Dado told me once that enjoying a car is driving it. I had told him I was going to put about 5-10k a year on the SRT4 at max, and that I didn't want to drive it. He pointed to his yellow M3 race car and said - "I enjoy DRIVING my car. Not looking at it." So my SRT4 has 64k on it. But now it just sits. Yesterday was only the 5th time I've driven it since October of last year. Practicality and age / whatever you want to call it has won and the SRT is no longer my 'baby', it's just a car. Now... if it were say.. an '09 GTR? hmm.....

Same problem here. I've put on 2500 miles in 14 months. I'm either going somewhere I don't feel comfortable parking the Evo or driving the family around in the minivan. I need to find a job on the other side of a long windy road!

As much as I like driving my car I wish I could drive it less. Not that I don't like driving it, but I put 23k on it in 10 months...bought it brand new.

I went like a week without driving it when I first got it and the feeling you get when you don't drive it in a while is awesome. Makes you love the car everytime you take it out.

I'm in desperate need of a daily driver.

I feel the same way. there's just some things that i feel that i shouldn't be driving it for. For ex work I work only 2 miles away, quick trips to the store ( less than 2 miles) and little things like that that make me wanna get a beater.

If I lived 2 mins from work I'd drive it every day. Too bad I live an hour away. Need the beater fro the long work commute.

I have had mine for a 1 1/2 yrs. Just hit 12,000 miles if that counts. I drive it at least once a week. Over the past month I have put quite a few miles on it
(just had it tuned).
