Bulge in the back floor!!

Noticed my rear floor on the left side is popping up..I think people who have put my car on a lift put it on the soft frame part and smushed it in..curious if this has happened to anyone else..it doesnt really bother me that much but how should I go about banging the floor down..Slide hammer?

This happened to me as well. There are two beams in the back of the car that look like they were put on the undercarriage for the sole purpose of putting jacks stands on them. I actually used them a few times and they worked fine but what i didn't notice was it would buckle a bit each time and eventually made the bulge in the rear floor which any backseat passenger would clearly notice when they put their foot down. I used a sledge hammer with plenty of force and its now flat again. I suggest using a hammer with the longest handle you can find and make those blows count.

I really doubt it. I think he has a bulge in the rear floor from misplaced jackstands . He had a bulge not a tear.

Don't forget to remove the carpeting (or lift it up) before hammering. Don't rip the carpeting.

I was driving on a mountain road once after it rained (hard) and hit a rather large rock, which I had thought I would easily clear. The car felt like it hit a curb or something (practically hopped). Didn't notice any immediate damage, but later found the bulge while vacuuming the back.

Its no big deal really. Once you hammer it out, it'll be good as new.

So they can do the same thing? Its not like a dent in th door, its a bulge on from the undercarriage of the body.
