front plate bracket $120 from dealership?!!

I called up the mitsu dealer today and they said a front plate bracket, hardware was $120!! He said that I need a bracket behind the bumper. I've never heard of this. I thought all was needed was a front bracket that you drill into your bumper...

This reminds me of when I went to the dealer to get an oil change. It was OVER $100. Totally unexpected! I was calm and polite to them when I paid the bill, but boy was I mad. I'm doing it myself this time. $6 filter, $20 oil, $5 pan. Done.

Moral of the story: Don't get anything other than a car from a dealer.

I thought about getting a front plate mount for my JDM plate, but then I realized it is just another target for a cop's laser gun (we don't use any radar in GA for speed checking). You could probably find a member with a mount or maybe even on ebay.

My car came with one in the trunk and another one was given to me at time of purchase when they asked if they should put it on. Your welcome to one if you come pick it up. (florida)
