Post Can I get some 411 plz

Hi guys!

I'm new here.

I'm shopping for an EVO and was wondering if anyone had some REAL info about the '04/ACD/AYC stuff?

Reading these threads, it becomes a little confusing because everyone seems to have their own iteration on what's happening for next year.

Does anybody have any substantuated information?

Thanks in advance!

All anybody other then the head of Mitsubishi himself can give you at this time is an educated guess. My thinking is that the car stays the same for the 04 model since theres really no need to raise the price/production cost on a car which has already proven itself head to head with the STI. You may see the FQ-300 upgrade package come over under the Ralliart name but thats also a reach. Best bet is that if they make it next year its the same car, no AYC, ACD, or 6 speed.. all of which IMO aren't really needed, especially not the 6 speed.

We already have numerous threads on this, including the huge one with all the "What's changing for '04" and "ACD, AYC, 6 Speed?"

Feel free to scan through it:

"Educated guess" is an awfully flattering statement for some of the rumors we get.

There won't be any concrete information on this until MMNA decides it's time to disclose it. Personally, I wouldn't trust anything that wasn't released by Mitsubishi publicly.

I wouldn't trust anything until the cars roll off the truck at your local dealer!

Something to think about - if '04s end up with AYC/ACD/6 Speed/etc, the cost will go up, possibly quite a bit.

Do you know of any modifications to the center diff, or the rear diff, to make the car feel more like the JDM spec car? More like a RWD car. Right now it feels like a FWD/AWD car.

Also, what do you guys think of buying a used EVO VII from one of those graymarket import places?
