JDM MR headlights
JDM MR headlights
So this has been discussed alot probably and I have done my searching on here with barely a simple walkthrough or a write up or the thread is ages old at this point. I just got my JDM headlights today and want to wire these puppies up. Question is now I look at these headlights and get this face.....
I currently have a IX GSR non-hid with a 9006 aftermarket HID kit on the car right now. Can I still use this HID kit or do I absolutely need to buy a D2S HID kit? Does anyone know where I can find the proper write up on how to adjust the headlights on these things? Any information on installing these things would be much appreciated thanks!!

thanks man and I did come across that thread and looked into that. I just found a 9006 harnesses with a D2S connection so I can use my aftermarket ballast but still need the OEM hid bulb which i'm now looking for. Still no clear way if the lights can be manually adjusted. I looked at the entire housing and don't see any gears like in previous threads. NOt sure if the motor is already on these lights or the motor is seperate. Does anyone know if I can take apart the headlight without baking the headlight??

No problem man.The headlight should have the headlight leveler motor already on the light. My JDM EVO 8 MR headlights came with headlight leveler motors when I bought them new.You would probably want to bake the light to take it apart. You don't want to damage anything.
I don't see where the motor would be?? I mean I kinda twisted this one piece and it seemed attached to the projector itself, maybe that's the motor?? but without power how can I manually adjust it?
There is this thread on how to manually adjust the headlight beam

If I remember correctly the headlight leveler motor was on the back of the headlight housing. The headlights leveler motor wont work unless you have the OEM switch and a power source.

I found this thread with a perfect picture of the headlights I got, my other question is if you see in picture 3 there is this opening that is on the bottom of the headlight where there is this silver connector hanging, wtf does that connect to?? I also have a non-ssl evo so where can I wire that fog light harness so my fog lights turn on when I turn my headlights on?
EDIT: I did find this thread might be useful..........

This maybe helpful or they might be able to nail down exactly what you are looking for since they ship the harness to make everything work if you buy from them.
