Did anyone notice that the side mirrors on our cars are not painted? Well the mirror itself is painted, but the black area that it connects to isn't!! It's a dull color of black.. But! On the OZ Rally Lancer's, their mirrors are painted to match the doorframe... The black isn't dull like ours... What's with that??!! Ever since I saw it, it's been buggin me... Anyone else notice this?? I wonder if we can get that from Mits??
To Jonasan50 - Yes I did notice the color difference. Once you go somewhere and get an estimate on painitng, the color difference won't bother you so much then.

Forget painting it.. It might be cheaper to just get an OZ mirror fixture instead... Takes 10 minutes to swap... It's amazing that the car being $30k doesn't have that part painted, when they spend so much time in the rest of the car to look nice...

I was waiting at the light and I was looking at my driver's side mirror and I noticed the the bottom of the mirror was not painted! I was like what the hell! How does a regular Lancer get painted mirrors and the Evo not!
It's common practice on introduction model years to do this. NExt year they can offer it with the fully painted mirrors and call it new and improved. Every manufacturer does this. Intro BMWs are real bad about looking horrible with black side molding on their first year models. The last year models usually always end up with everything painted. The 95 300ZX TT stands out as a model that showed a big difference between it and its intro model in 90 (end of 89).
