Are Evo8 wings under warranty or is the joke on me?
That's pretty much it.. Someone told me the Evo8 wings are under warranty.. There isn't a Mits. Dealership where I live so kinda hard to find out.. Plus, the internet isn't really helping too much neither.. Are there or where there any recalls on Evo8's.. I just purchased one 2 weeks ago.. thx guys.
no recall on the wings, im gonna guess if its just your wings clear coat coming out you might have a chance if your paint warranty hasn't gone out yet, basically you just gotta try some fail some succeed.
Is your clear coat beginning to fade or peel? I have heard of dealerships who have warrantied Evo8 wings and others who have not.....Did you just buy your 8 two weeks ago or a wing?
Otherwise, just call a dealership and ask them OR look at the How-To section to do it yourself.

I've had mine replaced. I know 3 others that have had theirs replaced as well. All 8s, all with peeling clearcoat (on the leading and trailing edges of the wings), I had bubbles in the clearcoat as well.
It was no fight at all for me to get this done, but the car was still in warranty at the time. I also had all 4 Brembos replaced for peeling/fading paint with about 400 miles left on the warranty.
I guess it depends on dealership/district manager, but both cases were really effortless for me.

I doubt there's an 03 VIII left that's still covered for that. The bumper to bumper warranty for 03's was 3 yr./36k mile.
My VIII's wing was replaced under warranty, but there's quite a few people on here who weren't as lucky as me.

A buddy of mine got his replaced, but he was the original owner and had bought it at the dealership that replaced it for him, under warranty. There's no factory warranty left on an '03 Evo at this point, so you won't get a replacement.
You're using common sense when in fact it's Mitsubishi warranty coverage logic that will be in effect. Search on these boards - you'll find crazier warranty denials than this scenario. But it's all moot, cuz....
Do the math: 2003 Evo + 3yr/36K warranty = too late
i just got a Brand spankin new transfer case installed by the dealership. NO CHARGE. the dealer said my car is still under the 100K powertrain warranty.
So i got it changed. Drives like a charm.
All i gotta say is "no matter what it is just give it a try, it wont hurt"
