Mechanical to ProSport Electronic Boost Gauge.. Problems?

This is what I was thinking, but then I also thought if your vacuum line is too long wouldn't that make pressure go down not up?

And all you have to do with an electric gauge is splice a few wires and that's it. Plus I like not having to run the vacuum tube into my interior. Anyways, back to the original question...
