Bad News After Installs!

On Wed. I had a Prosport Boost, Oil Pressure, Water Temp gauges as well as a Forge UNOS boost controller (it is on its first click) at a local shop. Since the install the car bucks horrifically while running throw 2nd gear at about 5k. And the Service Engine Soon Light is on now as well! Help me please I cant wait till Monday to go there, the IX is my DD.

Thanks,
Jay

the UNOS controller takes a lot of clicking to get the PSi at the desired level. I fudged with mine today and turned it atleast 4 full turns (like 20 clicks) and it only dropped to 17psi and I usually run 21-22. Sounds very odd could the shop who installed it taken it for a drive and ruined your transmission?

Or just a improperly installed boost controller when it bucks is it making boost up to 5k?

Check the vacuum lines at left side of the intake manifold to see what they screwed up... are you having breakup problems when in boost or is it running like crap completely, even at idle/cruise ?

Get the code scanned, that will probably tell you what the problem is, but my guess is a botched boost gauge install.

Boost gauge isnt connected, the "T" is capped off. car runs fine other wise, it seems that once its warmed up it runs fine.

make sure that the solenoid has caps on the inlets (both inlets plugged with caps)............or zip tie the vacuum lines if left on there.

They attached the "T" on the right side of the intake manifold by where the throttle cable comes out from the firewall.

On the boost selinoid there is a vacuum line on one(furthest from the wire connector) and a cap on the one closest to the wire connector.

That's fine... can you remove the T for the boost gauge and see if the problem goes away?
