Evo 7....... 1 din or 2 dins?
Evo 7....... 1 din or 2 dins?
Sup guys.
I've been looking around for EVO7 pics and noticed that there are a few EVO7s with the climate control knobs moved to the lower part of the center console, giving the headunit a 2-din space. Are those custom made? Or factory A/C-button-moving option? Does anyone know? thanks.
I feel like 1 din is just not enough.

If anything it may be similar to the Lancer that's here in the US now much like the Cedia/Evo overseas. As for whether or not the DIN slot size will be an option...I think that'll require an actual Owners Manual or dealer options sheet from...argh...damn you
for this suspense.

the E7s come with both 1 and 2 din. I don't know why they do this but I would get the one with the double din. You can then fit one of those LCD screens which give you the temp/boost/pressure readings negating the need for dials just like the GTR-34

Here are 2 pictures, 1 with 1 din and 1 with 2 dins.
Notice that when you get the 2-din conversion option, the knobs are smaller (and looks better). I DEFINITELY HOPE that the US EVO7 will have the 2-din option. If not I'll probably have to buy the parts from Japan and do a custom conversion
I'm sure everyone wants 2-dins. What can you do with....... 1 din? a headunit and you're full!

Don't forget the RS's were not made with comfort and/or banging stereos in mind. They were meant to be more raw than a GSR.
For someone who is looking to enter their EVO7 into a professional rally, an RS is definitely the better choice.

Correction, that's another reason why the GSR is better [/i]for you[/i] than the RS/RS-II might be.

I meant that the GSR is a better car to take straight to the streets. If you're talkin about professional racing, RS is definitely the choice (that's the reason they exist)
