Help with pricing

I have a 2006 MR with 27,xxx miles. Excellant interior and exterior condition. BUT i would like to sell it without a tranny. I dropped the tranny and im looking to sell as is. I do not want to put a tranny in etc. My question is how much is the car worth? I'm clueless as to what its worth.

find out how much the tranny costs to buy and put in and then deduct that from the value of the car.

Value of the car:
Obviously you were running the crap out of this thing, unless the tranny dropping was a freak accident, so the value of the car should be based on the overall condition, not KBB or Nada.......

You are going to have to deduct more than that from the price. Who is going to pay essentially full price on a car they can't drive? Even if someone buys a tranny, there is a leap of faith that everything else works. And given the hassle and risk, most everyone would just as well buy another car.

I actually only had the car 1.5months. The previous owner was to blame for the transmission failure. I got stuck with a car I shouldn't have bought in the first place.

Like I said besides the tranny the car is in excellant condition. New tires, clutch, pads etc.

LOL Hense the reason I said base the price of the car on the condition of the car, and not KBB or nada.....I didnt say set it at full price.....ultimately after deducting the tranny and install and the condition of the car the price would be decent. However the only ones who would actually think about it would be builders or projects goers.....

Yeah but what about the internals? moving mechanisms? etc etc......Someone beat that car, hard I might add for the tranny to go out so soon. I beat the **** out of my 03 evo 8 and its in good working order, some quirks, but nothing major.

When the tranny went I had it inspected at a shop and they stated there was black residue inside the tranny which lead them to believe possibly wrong tranny fluid after my clutch install 1,500miles or less before the tranny dropped.

lol I don't under how someone can mistake something like that.....if that was the case then you are solid, but like they said before, buying a car without a tranny is like buying a Big MAc without the special sauce....

Completely understand what your saying. I was just hoping to find someone that would want the car with a 5spd swap in mind. Since most people swap the tranny, I have half the work done. The tranny is out.

Yea thats a hell of a red flag. An EVO that you cant drive w/no tranny. Itll cost someone likley 3-5k depending if they want a 5 or 6 speed. Plus the cost of labor for reinstall and a clutch.

Your looking at getting way less than 20k selling it that way
