Hey guys,

Sometimes when I turn on my car it idles really messed up and smoke starts coming out through the hood vent, than I turn it off for 5 seconds and turn it back on...and it idles fine, and im good to go. This has happened about 10 times this year, what should I do to fix it?

The last time I got my car tuned was in July of last year, here are my mods...

can you log it and see what she is doing......could be something as simple as water turning into steam due to the heat.....

 

i dont have the pc hooked up to it, but i might do that...I really dont think its water, because it idles REALLY messed up and smells like oil

 

are you boosting fine?

 

yea, it boosts fine. and when that happens I can just turn the car off and turn it back on and it starts up fine.

 

Does it happen when the car sits for a prolonged period of time?

 

usually I'd say yea...but today I pulled it out of the garage and was working on a bike, than an hour later I went to pull it back in and that happened again, horrible idle and smoke coming from the engine, I immediately turned it off, turned it back on 5 secs later and it started up fine and I pulled it in...
