Lately, my Evo 8 had been making a thunking noise when I tried to start it and then it would turn over. Yesterday, it wouldn't start at all. I proceeded to monkey around, and tried to put the car in neutral, pressed the clutch in and it started right up. I shut it off, put it into 1st, pressed the clutch, and it started just as normal (whereas before it would do nothing), but now there is a 'service engine soon' light on. What happened?
