eBay o2 housing and gains.

I'm kinda new at modding my Evo VIII. I was wondering what kind of benefit and difficulty of install I would be looking at by installing a new o2 housing. My current mods are 3" TBE from Buschur, K&N short ram intake, DynaFlash reflashed ECU, Defi boost gauge, and a turbo timer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick

Gains are not worth the pain of replacing it unless you're replacing turbo or hotside at the same time.

its a great mod I think, however please do yourself a favor and get rid of that POS intake... Its hurting performance, trust me!
as far as 02s go I say a ported Bushur is what I have seen and held and the quality and performance is great.
good luck on moding!

so how much horsepower would you gain by taking a stock exhaust manifold and porting it, adding a megan 02 housing, and porting a evo ix stock 10.5 hotside? these are the next steps i would like to take in upgrading my evo ix mr.

I have the Buschur ported/coated exhaust manifold and the Buschur (eBay) coated o2 housing and when I installed them the spool-up got quicker and seemed to have better top-end power. I also hand-ported my hotside at the same time. I'm sure you'll get some naysayers in the thread saying its a worthless mod, but my dyno sheets say otherwise

The search button is dying to be your freind!!! Yes you will get great gains. Yes it is worth it IF you are going to stick to your stock turbo or a upgrade utilzing the stock manifold. Yes you can MOST likely find ALL your answer by typing them into the search box at the upper right corner. As a matter of fact there are pages and pages of answers that you will have access to much faster with actual testing.
