wierd noise

sometimes when i come to a stop, i hear a short grinding noise. It's not everytime, but often enough.

is this a drivetrain problem?
Thanks for the help

by the way, i have a IX with about 20k miles on it.

eh. brake pads probably. if ur on your brakes then it could be ur squeelers indicating you need new pads.

if its only when coming to a stop, then check the brakes. when is the last time you changed pads, rotors, etc.

I'd say brake pads as well. Sometimes worn pads make a slight jingle sound when not applying brakes also. But I guess it just depends on the type of pad.

Sounds like a brake pad problem.

well i dont have the stock pads, i installed works orange pads a some time ago, with still a lot of material left.

srry if it's hard to explain, but it's almost like the stop in forward momentum/or weight shift is causing the noise, not the braking itself.

is it normal for the stock pads to make noise when they still have plenty of life left? My pads squeak like madness only when im in reverse and on the brakes.
