So no more 03 EVOs from Japan this year?

I read on an earlier post someone say that there won't be any more 2003 EVOs coming over from Japan this year. Which means
that if it isn't already on somebody's lot, you won't get it until
Feb or March 04. Is this correct?

Well if they are, they are kinda coincidentially running out of 2003 models right about when 2004's normally appear, aren't they? I wonder if they will really wait till next MArch to release more, or if they'll just make 5k more Evo's and call em 2004's. This idea would fly in the face of the way all previous Evo's were released though.

Gonna have to wait a few weeks to know for sure.

SC~

They are currently being offered to us for allocation. Apparently the exact same car just 04 model year.

no, they are not selling '04s, they have yet to finalize the ralliart version, and yes for some reason they are going to wait till sometime after the beginning of the year to sell the '04s.

Time will only tell, but do a search for posts made by "TheFreak". His track record for posting what he knows seems ok...
He's been around here since way back. Take it for what it's worth.

All I know is that I'm anxiously awaiting the Tokyo Motor Show. Rumor has it that the Evo 8.5 will debut there not to mention the possibility of the production version GTR being shown.

I work for some of the infamous dealerships in the Bay Area and know for a fact that we have been offered for allocation 2004 Evo's which are 100% identical to the 2003. Take it for what its worth like someone else said but I know for a fact that we have been offered some.

So does anyone know how many were released to the us this year? I was under the impression that this would be a limited production car and there would only be a total of 6,800 of them shipped to the US. I have read on this forum that some people have said that is not true. can somone clue me in thanks

When I talked to the people over the phone they said that the US was only going to get 6,000 or so and they would have to distrubute those evenly to the dealerships which they they new could sell them. That sounds about right seeing as they're looking to sell 100,000 Galants world wide and you have to consider the fact they don't sell car certain cars in certain countries. The exact number of Evo's made is a mystery but you could estimate that it was at least 50,000.
