hello again, ive noticed a quarter size hole in the top of my 9s transmission, its a 5spd. ive been to the dealer 3 times trying to find out what goes in it, first i ordered the reverse light sensor thing, wasnt that, then i ordered a rubber breather thing, and it wasnt that either, the last time i went they said they just dont know.... so maybe you guys can help, like i said, its quarter size and doesnt have any threads.. pics attached... thanks in advance!!

 

maybe its missing a little rubber cap/cover thingy...my friends VIII has a hole like that...but mine doesnt its covered by a little rubber cap/cover...hope this helps...

 

that metal cap.. dont worry about that.. that for service to remove/install Throw out bearing...

u can get new cap.. Ask Evom RussellM.. he is from mitsubishiparts.net

 

Its access hole for the rod that holds your throwout bearing assembly together. Its just little metal plug that you gently tap in the place.

 

ahh i see, kinda like a freeze plug??? ok, back to the dealer i go i guess... lol. hey thanks for the quick responses guys, huge help as always!

 

yeah almost like Brass Freeze plugs.. yeah
