Taking an evo to the snow?

I live in MN...i ran on my azenis for about 2 hours from the shop just to get home...scary...but i couldnt get the dunlop sports on...ended up going with some eagle F1 allseasons cuz the goodyear salesman cannot order and I needed tires, very badly! Winter is bliss with this car! Everyone else=stuck...Evo=amazing nuff said

All-season drivablity is definitely part of the reason why I purchased an evo as well...I'm glad everyone has positive things to mention about Kuhmo ASX's...I just bought a set!

driving my friends evo was like nothing else in the snow

definitely a good time and as long as your not stupid the car can handle mostly whatever you throw at it

In my opinion yes they do! Tire will make a huge difference though!

Thanks for the info. I don't really plan to drive mine in the snow, but it's always good to know ahead of time what to expect.

stock tires, going up a forest service road, not much of a problem. going down was just nuts. i almost slid into a ravine. i was only moving less than 10mph no amount of brakes, steering or throttle could keep me from sliding towards the cliff. it finally came to a stop less than 2 feet from disaster. i wont be taking my car in the hills without snow tires.

the only thing that sucks about driving in the winter is trying to get the snow out of your tires to put your wheel balance back to normal

I've been more skeptical about the salt on the roads ruining the car, but I guess its not a big deal if you just go to the car wash often and spray the underside off.
