I need your opinion on a used 2006 IX
Definately test drive it and see how it feels. If there is anything that makes you wonder then ask him. If you hear any knocking or if the car stalls out or really anything. Make sure you drive it because if there is something that might make the car act wierd then he prolly knows how to control it.
main things i would check for is the death whine, tranny and def get the cel code check at a local mechanic shop...If its for the exhaust then u can buy a CEL fix from ebay and it will be gone.
Get the VIN call the dealer and ask about its warranty. An 06 with 15k miles is still covered.
I have 14k miles on my EVO9 and almost everyone is a hard mile! Mine is still perfect.... no grinding, no slipping, no issues at all. These cars were made to be **** pounded.
The price sounds right to me.

Ya iam planning on calling the delaer to confirm that its still under warranty, however, it has some mods so iam sure if tehy know abou tthem , they will void it right?
btw the car has a carbon fiber hood, do u guys think i will be able to find someone trade it with me with teh stock evo ix hood and maybe get some cash out of it?
thanks,
thanks,
well it never hurts to know how much i could part out of it if i coudl make some money right?
ya i ran a carfax and its clean. next step is to call the dealer and make sure that it is under warranty and not a lemon or anything.
thanks guys, you have beena great help.

Car's probably good
+1 on checking the code, just to make sure the check engine light isn't hiding anything else. The fix for this is not difficult, so I'm not sure why it would have been done.
I don't know why people really make a big deal out of scratches, it's pretty inevitable unless you don't actually want to drive your car. The bumper can be switched out to a jdm one, it looks a lot better anyway.
However, that is a really really good deal. If the carfax says it's an evo ix, and everything comes up clean, I guess you're good to go man.
Good luck

Well i just receievd couple of pics from the seller since i asked him to take off teh carpet from the trunk and shoot couple of pics, and i see that he has foil covering a portion of the trunk, so it could have been hit from the back, not sure what the foil is for yet, iam still waitting on his explanation.
unfortunatly iam trying to attach those pics, but for some reason the system is not letting me.
