SES light after filling up at Mobil?

Ok this happend to me first 3 weeks ago... I filled up on BP 93 octane and as soon as I pulled out of the station bam the ses light goes on... it then turned off by itself after the tank was 3/8 empty. Its been off for 3 full tanks.

This morning I Fill up on MObil 93 octane in Highland Park Il. And same thing... I pull out and the SES light coems on again?

Is this due to winter blend?

If the Cap is not fully seated, it will throw a SES.

I suspect this is it. I've done it before and was like "wtf!"

If your cap is tight pull the code and find out why the light went on.

Did you fill your tank up to the top? Most manufacturers will not run the evap system check unless the fuel level is 3/4 to 1/4 tank. If you had a full tank at the time the light came on it is doubtful that it is an evap system code. Check codes and post them. Of course it could have just set the light after fill up by coincidence.

If its the gas cap its not gonna go away immediately. It usually takes an average of 3 trips of 10 miles or more.
