Ever noticed that motor trends times are way off? They say stock evo VIII is 14.1 in the 1/4 and 5.1 on 0-60?

 

All mags have their testing methods. That's why I don't pay too much heed to those claims.

 

Magazine times are utterly worthless.

 

Moving to Evo General.

Most magazines repring their testing methods every now and then. Of course all times will depend upon the driver, and some drivers are more suited to one car than another, but they're usually in the right ball park. It's pretty easy to tell when one or two mags have times way off the scatter chart.

 

All the magazine times are corrected for temperature, humidity and altitude. They are all worthless except to compare and contrast cars tested by the same mag.
