I saw your post fine, but I just don't see where the piece is that the bolt goes through? I'll go take a picture of how mine looks now and show you what I mean...

Heres my ghetto rig now.

By the way, I'm not actually using these right now, so don't freak out!

You can see in the pictures, the thing where the bolt is supposed to go through, that I tried to take off. (It has a zip-tie thru the hole)....

Problem was that it was stitched in there. The only way I see to take it off is to cut it off, which would mean cutting where the harness was stitched. Either I'm just stupid, or I have NO IDEA how to put this on.

ok, heres your problem, mine are still on you cant see them in the pics but mine are still there they just hanging, the adjustment piece, i see them in your pics..... that is the key, you have to take the harness apart, each shoulder strap should actually be 2 pieces (hence how you can adjust the length)

there is no bolt

no bolt goes into your harness bar, if you look at the pictures i provided there is no bolt theres just a method to looping it properly so it tightens on the bar the more its pulled

Ok, so If I'm understanding you right, you said that the back part of the harness (that wraps around the harness bar), pulls off from the other part of the harness? AKA the adjusting strap on each side of your shoulder?

kinda basically you take the metal piece that you use to adjust the length (these are a crome plated piece in my pictures and you loop the harness thru that then around the bar then back thru that clasp in a perticular pattern, copy what you see in my pics exactly and it will secure it, i really cant help you more if you go out to your car and play with it it might help

Found this about harnesses without a roll cage, probably just opinions but still some stuff to think about I guess. Anyway the gist is that a 4 point harness without a rollcage as long as it is installed to manufactures specs is safe.

Did you guess from my avatar? If so, your correct.

I don't really think I'm going to use them, I just put them in for looks, since the harness bar looked kind of plain.

The one and only 4pt harness I would suggest people use is the Schroth one because they have the ASM (Anti Submarine) break away strap. The inside shoulder strap fold breaks on impact, making your upper body go forward so you don't sink under the belts to do more internal damage. See the crash test videos:

Use a 5 or 6 pt otherwise.

Will do.

I'm going to bring it to a friends house who had one installed, and see if he can't help me.

Its funny though, I never thought wrapping the harness around the bar would be this difficult. I mean I have it wrapped around now, but lets just say, judging from the pictures I doubt it would hold very well under pressure.

But yeah, thanks for your time and answering my questions, even though some may be stupid....
