EVO Parts Selection Discussion
I think I belong to #2. I have a 04 STI which is setup mainly for autocrossing. Now I just purchased an 04 Evo RS which is also going to be setup for autocrossing. So far I have installed an ARC induction box (it came with a cone filter which was all messed up). I have also kept the stock struts and installed some Tein Springs. I also have been using 17" SSR GT2 wheels with Dunlop Advan casing. I raced it for the first time and it was nice to drive. All I need to be up to par with the performance of the STI was to have more power out of the turns. I could keep the Subie in 2nd gear all the way and a shift to 3rd but I would not need to go to 1st. On the Evo I felt I needed to shift to 1st to pull it out of the turn. Next time I will try to be on the accelerator a bit earlier to compensate for the lag.
Any suggestions?

I think I'm between 2 and 3
I try to get things for a reasonable price that fits my needs for the car. I have picked up alot of name brand stuff second hand from guys around here and somewhat close to my area.
I will use Ebay to buy a couple things that aren't really a performance item. Sometimes it had to tell the junk from the good stuff.
I'm just trying to be competative in BSP class for AutoX
