What to look for in a used Evo?

I have an 05 STi w/ 52k right now, been driving it for 4 years now. I want to make the switch over to an 06 Evo IX around 20-35k to try something new for a while. What should I look out for on a used Evo?

Thanks.

for a start engine modifications, look for one close to if not stock this usually means less abuse, also you say around 20-35k mileage the stock clutch should still be in so if its already been replaced the car have been tracked or dragged a bit.

If I were buying used:
  • Zero or low modifications
  • Proof of maintenance service
  • Proper break-in
  • Accident history
  • Major work histroy (clutch job, t-case, etc.)
  • One owner
  • Usage history (DD, track, etc.)

I've gotten better results lately using quotes around phrases. It even helps around individual words for some reason.
