hurt my evo..

Rear ended a guy today going about 5 mph trying to make a right turn into traffic. Thought he was gonna go, looked left, looked back right and he had stopped while I had started pulling forward

I know, I know....just the stupidest little mistake, luckily the hood is ok, just a tiny paint scratch on the bottom edge...everything else if fine, just the bumper and grille are messed up.

I actually am trying to figure out if it's cheaper to replace it myself, but all I have to do is pay my deductible, so...who knows..

im guessing your dedutible is 500, usually ix bumpers are little more expensive if you get a new one like 600-700 range i believe im sure you can find a good one on here though in the 400 range just gotta look real hard.

Yea with all the grill pieces, the bumper, etc you would probably be best off paying the deductable (if it's 500ish). If it's more than that, do some math with parts costs.

That almost happened to me as well. Luckily my friend was sitting next to me and yelled at me "Stop!" before I rear ended them cuz I assumed that they were doing the right turn already.

I hate those slow drivers too.

The only accident I've had in my life was the exact same thing, looked left, all clear both ways so assumed the guy in front of me would keep rolling out. for some unknown reason, he stopped before I looked back.

fortunately I only had a civic at the time and the guy I hit didn't really care.

The last time this almost happened to me I think it was on purpose. I look left and nothing so I'm at a roll. I look forward and the only word that comes to my mouth rhymes with punt, thanks to the 40-something batch driving the car. When the batch finally does a slow roll she is laughing and it occurs to me that the POS behind me (who was also laughing) is with her because when I start flipping her crap he immediately tries to come to the rescue.

Needless to say, you gotta keep an extra special eye out for those drivers. You can almost usually assume who will pull that move.
