I have two kids. I took my new daughter to the track with me Tuesday night in the EVO. Rear facing child seat, huge diaper bag, myself and my wife. TONS OF ROOM in the EVO. Everyone got a huge kick out me running the EVO with the child seat and huge PINK diaper bag in the back seat!! haha

This is the exact reason I am thinking about getting one. My 2 door SE-R is just not cutting it now that my wife and I have a son. We test drove the WRX last year before we bought our Jetta 1.8T Wagon and it really does not have any room in the backseat. Sat in an Evo got my seat nice and comfortable and I could still sit behind it, something 6'2" me can't do in a WRX.

As for car seats I got the Graco ComfortSport which is blue and black just like the Evo, but now I got the Evenflow Comet because I think it looks like a race seat.

The wife and I are expecting our first in March. One of our Christmas presents was a Graco infant seat/stroller combo set. The seat seems to fit fine in the Evo and in Wifey's Mazda 3. Only concern is the stroller part, once its in the trunk, I'm not sure how much else we can pack in there (in both Evo and 3). I doubt we will be traveling exclusively in the Evo, but I just wondered what kind of experience everyone else has had with lugging around all of the baby essentials (including the pack and play) for long trips.

Man, I've been able to get away with just the stroller (have had the stroller that can b used with the car seat) and that is a pain to put in n out the trunk...haven't had to take a playpen, but that can prob only fit in the back seat...but so far, I have a 8yr old who sits in front, a 5yr old in a booster, and a 1yr old in a infant seat...when i make my runs, they're strictly small time grocery or dropping the kids to/from school

Maybe we will just have to time the birth of our future children so they can be staggered like yours...

I'm sure we will make things work when the time comes, just trying to figure as much of this out in advance as possible. I've considered getting rid of the Evo in exchange for a four-door truck, but that might be overkill. The Evo is supposed to be a "family car", or at least based on one anyway.

I was actually curious if any of the original posters from this thread were still active members here. Cool to know that you've been hauling kiddos with two different Evos over the last several years.

I brought my new born and her car sit to the lot for a fitting before the purchase. I was able to convince the wife because "it is a four door family car"

Looks like that would probably take up less room than the rear facing infant seat we are starting with. How does the Recaro compare to other convertible baby seats? We haven't got that far yet. I'm sure we will be looking for a bigger seat soon after we begin using the infant seat though.
