A few gauge questions
Ok so I'd like to replace my stock MR gauges with larger 52mm gauges. I have an AEM air/fuel gauge that currently is hooked up and just sits in the glove box becuase it was never mounted. Im going to get the autometer 52mm upper gauge panel piece to replace the stock mitsu one. Im also going to get a single autometer 52mm gauge pod for the steering column where Im gonna mount a boost gauge. I wanted to run a new volt gauge, but I want to ditch the temp gauge in the middle for something different...but not if its going to be a huge PITA to run/hookup a new type of gauge. Any suggestions? So Id have the new boost gauge on the steering column, then a volts gauge on the left of the upper console panel, then the middle would be whatever you guys suggest (possibly pyrometer?), then on the right I would put the AFR gauge thats I have now which isnt mounted. I do not want to run any gauges on the pillar.
My main questions are how exactly do I go about replacing the gauges and running the new ones? Is there any other threads that explain how to remove the piece and run new gauges? I did a search but did not find anything.
Edit: Also, I was looking at autometer gauges, probably sport comp II. What kind of gauges would I be running, mechanical or electric (full sweep)?
My last vehicle was a Trailblazer SS, so pardon my newb-ness on gauges and how to do all this.
