the neighbor across the street was sick of scratching up the front end of his buick every time he pulled in and out, so where the end of the driveway meets the street, he laid down one big pipe(you could lay down severl if needed) and then covered it with concrete, didnt look pretty, but with time, some wood, and some cement tools, it could look very nice. just my 2 cents

 

When you enter you driveway to you angle your evo in. I have used this many a time on the crusty streets of chicago.

 

I'm all for the 2x4's to get up into the driveway (I have to use a 2x12x8 to get up into mine) but I'd stay away from the quick mix cement idea. I was considering the same thing until a neighbor told me that if you lay cement down blocking the flow of water down the street next to your curb then the county will come out and break your cement creation up to pieces. Just be careful where you decide to lay cement if you must go with that idea.

What I've seen some ppl do is put a 1.5" PVC pipe in the gutter then poor the mix down so that water flow would still flow and you wouldn't get into that much trouble. Still, you would have to get a building permit for this project and you might have to submit your idea to them.

 

I'm somewhat able to go UP the driveway at an extreme angle with minimal scrapping but coming back down i get major scrappage... anyone with tips on backing down at an angle? diagrams? lol .. and what about backing up into a driveway?

 

this is mainly one of the reasons why I'm still stock height/suspension, I'm pretty much can scrap my cf lip anywhere, but I've learned how to get around most of it by goin slower or at an angle,

one of my friends lowered his evo and he scraps just about everywhere no matter what he does lol....it sucks period

 

you can back up your car in your driveway with out or minimal scuffing

 

cheapest fix, pipe in gutter,cover with concrete. do it at night and no one will ever know.

Lol, backing up was the only way I was able to get my lowered Altima up my steep driveway. I've yet to lower my Evo because of my driveway and maneuvering the car once I reach the top backwards.
