Is all the Evo's cracked up to be?

I'm new here, and from all the things i've heard evos are pretty cool. I'm saving up to get a car and would an Mitsubishi Evo 8 be a good car to have? from all the shots that people have are they all sticks? cause i love to have all control of a car when driving. And how do the stocks handle, brake, acc., and the shifting from gear to gear seem? I'm very interested in one. I'm threating my manager to give me a raise so i could get one.

Yes, they are they're hyped up to be, and more! The sharp steering and handling is my favorite feature of it.

I agree, we need to have a "should I buy an Evo" thread, like the S2000's boards. You should know Chris in HB.

Its the most "Sport Car" that you will be able to get for the $$$. Unless you want to buy used. Before I bought the EVO I did all the math and it added up to getting the EVO. Read around and listen to what some of these guys drive or did drive, and they love the EVO. Like me for example, I have had a Supra TT, VR-4, MR2 Turbo, Blah Blah Blah,............... 26 cars in all. And the EVO is right there on top.

These kinds of posts crack me up. If yer "pondering" about buying an EVO there's usually a few things going on:

1. you don't know enough about the evo
2. yer not ready for an evo

The evo is not a comfortable car, nor is it an easy to drive car. But if you want a no-nonsense mean machine with AWD, yes, the EVO is the car for you.
