Has anyone traded in their Evo for a GTI?
Has anyone traded in their Evo for a GTI?
If so, what are your thoughts? Any regrets? What do you like about it?
I doubt that I'd trade mine in, but the thought has crossed my mind to "downgrade" to a GTI. I think it would be a less dangerous family vehicle, while still being "fun".
TIA

If your gonna make it fast dont do it, it's just like any other FWD car your gonna be spinning as the other guy goes past you til about 80 then you will finally hook up and have to reel him in
Thanks guys.
This would be the only go-fast bit:

Normal mode for the wife and power mode for me.
I've had enough torque steer in my previous FWD cars...

I went to a SVTF from an Evo. Not looking back. Stuff fun to drive and its more reliable. Plus, 750mi trips don't hurt as much.

my buddy has a gti and i drove that for a while, it is a nice car, but i definitely felt like something was missing, plus i dont feel as badass in it as i do in my evo
p.s. i bought the evo because it was a practical car, can seat 5 people, 4 doors, decent gas mileage, and can handle well in any weather, sounds like a good family car to me

Its up to you really.
People have different situations and have different needs at different stages in thier lives.
But me personally, I wouldn't trade in my Evo for anything else. Best Bang for Buck and a Head Turner..... Plus I can sit the kids in the back and watch them scream: "Go daddy! Go Faster!" (If I had kids that is. LOL)
If you have the funds, might I suggest getting a daily beater Civic and keep the Evo as a weekend driver? I plan on doing that the moment I get some funds.
Of course you are looking back Mr. Admin Moderator.....
How can you say that because you've sold your Evo.... but you are still on the forums......
I sense some regret.

AH HAH! You still want an Evo! Hehehehehehe.
Evolutions are like hot ex-girlfriends. You know you want to go back, but are afraid of high maintenence costs.
You can quote me on that. ;P
