Well 3 kids, might be that time.....
Time to sell the Evo. I don't post much on here and haven't for a while. I have been pretty busy with work and life. 17 weeks ago I had my third edition to my family. A 9lbs 12oz bundle of joy my first son. I have a 4 1/2 year old daughter and a 2 1/2 year old daughter. Now we have a beautiful family of 5.
Now for the problem. I can no longer transport my family in my car safely. Due to laws and well common sense, my oldest has to be in a booster seat. Well, you can't fit 2 car seats and a booster seat in the back of an Evo. I don't think it is legal to drive with the door bungy corded shut.
With that being said, has anyone on here found a combination to safely put 2 car seats and a booster seat in their Evo?
My guess is now so I will probably be getting an suv or truck of some sort. I love my evo but I think it may be time to grow up some and before somebody says it can't afford to keep the Evo and another vehicle payment on top of my wife's minivan payment as well.
Thanks,
STevo

i know what you mean. i have a 10 month old girl so its not bad now, but i am hoping i will have the evo paid off before the next one comes so i can keep it. babies are not cheap, and for those who think they are..go have one. she is finally on whole milk, but before that i was spending over 150$ a month just for enfamil. but shes worth every penny. good luck man, hope everything works out for you

You can use your Honda Pilot to transport your kids. IMO it's safer for them in a Pilot than in an Evo. I have 8 and 10 year ols boys and a daughter is on the way.
I have to update that. No Pilot anymore, got traded for the wife's 09 Town and Country. The family hauler. However, my wife is going back to work full time and certain days i will be needing to pick up the kids from the sitters. Oh and the wife can't drive the Evo either.
I loved the Evo and by far the most fun vehicles i have ever had the pleasure of owning!!!!!

ive put 2 baby seats in the rear of the evo, wife in front and teenage step daughter in the back, squished between the two baby seats. she was unhappy cause of no wiggle room, but she lived and they all fit. the rear seat is actually pretty good sized, IMO you could fit 2 baby seats and a booster seat back there. i put 2 baby seats and a 13 year old, they fit and 2 of the 3 were happy
My son is 2 1/2 years and my daughter 10months, hes in what looks like a racing seat (sized for a toddler) and shes still in a rear facing seat above an infant one. the bigger worry may be how to hookup to the 5 point safety harness for 3 baby seats back there.
How long till the 4 year old can ride in the front?
I'm lucky, my wife (who has an 06 dodge caravan with 3rd row seating) does most of the running around with the kids, when my kids go in the evo its more for fun, "vroooom, vroooom" my son says every time i accelerate.

yeah, family first for sure. Well, if you could afford to get a less expensive DD then keep the EVO you could get some of those sweet recaro child seats...

The backseat is PLENTY big,
plus cargo, lots of tech (sunroof, rockford Fosgate, paddle shifters, optional leather, etc.)
AND you will still be in the Mitsubishi family! Even get the AWD version and keep AWD in the family!
... Not a bad option, plus a 100 K warranty is legit.
