Doesn't bother me any, it's the Ol' lady that has a problem with all the money I spent on it. All the money I have spent on my evo is justified by the big smile on my face every time I driver her.

Was there a reason why you wanted to be able to rev to 9K?

Yeah, 9k just really isn't necessary. If you only want 400whp that can be had fairly reliably on an all stock bottom end as long as you can keep the revs at a reasonable level 7500-8k.

No reason get a built motor for only 400whp just to be able to wind it up to 9k.

Start small and work big. Use the staging method to work on your evolution one step at a time. I posted a link below which will help you follow along. You don't have to buy BR parts, but they are one of the best in business. Just follow along as I stated before. For Example: Stage 1 is Intake, Exhaust, and Boost Controller Setup. Just go out and get those things from whatever company you want and move to stage 2. This insures your car will be done right!

thanks for the input. I have already priced out a bunch of parts on ebay.

full exhaust: $250
pillar with 3 guages: $132
wideband: already have
CAI: custom made
tune: ~ $300

So far performance wise for now, Im looking at around $682. I will be installing the cat-back portion of the exhaust, and hollowing the stock cat so the stealership will still warranty work. When Im making enough $$, I will be slapping the rest of the exhaust and other parts on there.
