Shifting Problems for 2nd Gear

Okay, so here is my problem that I have.. When getting on it in 1st gear then shifting into 2nd, it just wont go in at all till I'm guessing the engine goes back into its normal position? but i dont have that problem with any other gears though. I'm thinking I may need to replace to transmission mounts and engine mounts but I am not sure. I think that due to the torque, the engine is moving to much and make it hard for me to get into 2nd gear. Any thoughts?

Could also be your clutch, or if you have an act lock out. Are you power shifting it into gears?

If you mean holding down the gas while shifting, no.. The car has 10500 miles on it with barely any hard driving..

what clutch? did you try adjusting it? any grinds? are you stock or do you have such a tremendous amount of power that your engine moves more than anyone elses?

No im not saying I have a ton of torque, Im saying the amount of load the car is put on in 1st to 2nd gear is making it hard for the car to get into gear. Im on the stock clutch and it shifts fine into every other gear. It does not grind, I just wont go in correctly. Its almost like i am hitting a big piece of rubber. I have never tried to adjust my clutch

Add: It shifts great when im just normal driving..

well best things to do would be get a stainless clutch line if you dont have one already and take out the restrictor pill...get shifter bushings (underhood and cage)...and possibly try adjusting your clutch up a litttle tiny bit

I have a similar issue, but it is intermittent. It always lets me into 2nd but sometimes I have to wait a sec. I am thinking of replacing the under-hood shifter bushing in the hopes of eliminating this issue. I am a little wary of replacing bushings because I want to keep my car a daily driver. I'm worried about vibration transmission though the passenger area of the car....

you dont need solid engine mounts and crap to shift a stock clutch....replace the underhood bushings and adjust the clutch....lockout is when your driving with a ****ty clutch and at high RPM it wont let you shift because it wont disengage....but he has stock clutch so it may just need to be adjusted

I would suggest taking a video if you have a camera and posting it up youtube. It would help to see exactly what is happening. Does the vehicle still have a warranty. If it has a stock clutch it would almost be worth bringing it to the dealer.

Im pretty sure it has a stock clutch.. I bought it with 5500 miles on it and it really does feel like a stock clutch..
