I was looking at the Road & Track 2004 previews and they don't have an Evo. I mean this is practically a completely different car from the Lancer and they just lumped all 7 models into one page with a drab picture of the Lancer.

Disappointing, especially seeing the high marks they gave the Evo. They talk about it slightly in the article but mostly as a secondary trim line.

I saw an EVO VII in 1:32 at Wal-Mart. Stupid thing came in a $20 set with a car mover rig that had a PT Cruiser and an S2000 boxed in with it too. I would've bought it right away if it were loose.

 

i have a 1:32 black evo VIII (8), yes EVO 8, i got it at the vendor stands during the Petit Le Mans in atl, haven't seen it anywhere else. Has our bumper, hood, rims and even has our crappy altezzas

Huh? Oct 2003 edition: New Cars 2004: page 88, both a pix and a separate column for the Lancer Evolution (sep from Lancer). They do list side airbags as "std", which is wrong.
