It has happened to me

So I wake up this morning, get dressed and head out the door. I get to my baby, and pull open the door. Once I open the door I realized I didnt press the unlock button. I look into my evo and I got dizzy and felt sick. I was parked in my assigned parking spot. No one heard anything to include my self. Things gone are seats, radio w/ bezel (orbital double din), my tool box with tools in the back, my stock shift knob, & baseball bat.

bummer man....it has happened to me many times also. cant believe they took your shift knob on top of it all?WTF

Those SE seats are nice, and the orbital kit...what was in the double din, please dont tell me a screen set-up?

Why did you not have an alarm? Either way, an alarm may have dettered this from happening, but no guarantee of that....not trying to rub that point in as I am sure it is already on your mind.

Looks as if they left your pillar gauges intact? They must have already stole those from someone else

knowing what I know about Hawaii (born and raised there till I was 17)...who ever did it, planned it well....and probably may even "know" you.

If not,...their cousin or auntie knows you, lives down the street, smiles in your face, all the while profiting off of your misfortune.

My suggestion, dont tell anyone it happened, be quiet about it, have insurance fix it up and move on with your life. If it was someone that knows you or lives near you, they will slip up by saying the wrong thing to you or someone else....word gets around, etc, etc.

Its a small island, I bet the parts will show up on ebay, or are currently being installed into another evo as we speak.

Get an alarm and a glock...also, get a garage and keep your head up, this is what insurance is for.

Wow, sorry to hear man! I have a friend staioned there, that says theft on the island is bad. He had 2 bikes and his camery stolen. I know life gave you lemons, but find a way to make lemonade, (insurance money for seats are actually up there, so treat yourself to some brides and used the left over money to cover whatelse was stolen)

I want to thank everyone for their words of encouragement, I am highly upset and depressed about it. I really cant stop thinking about it. I remember it felt like a dream when I first open the door.

VetBoss, yea it was a screen setup. I just didnt think it was this bad in the area that Im living in (Mililani Mauka). Its sooo quite at night and during the days its just little kids playing outside with their mom watching them. I agree 100% I know it was someone who knows me or something. I really thought the keyless entry thing had was some kind of alarm and that it will sound if anything happens. I just bought the viper 5901, looks pretty good and has good reviews so I hope that does something for me. I'm currently looking on fourmshawaii and criagslist to see if they are stupid enough to post it if so then Im gonna go do something stupid.

Thanks again everyone, this actually does help to know there are people out there who care.

That does suck...I feel for you man. It's tough when you realize that no matter how hard you work to get things that you like, there will always be bottom feeders out there that are more than willing to skip the "work" part and just take it from you.

I agree with the other posters here about it being someone who's around you in some fashion. My wheels were stolen off of my old car out of my driveway by a guy who lived in the development across from mine. We used to see each other all the time and would wave. I never saw it coming... Like Hannibal Lechter said in Silence of the Lambs: "We begin to covet that which we see everyday."

Take care and get that car back in order!

I assume you filed a police report? As stated, it's a SMALL island. Unless they plan to keep what they stole, it shouldn't be too hard to find on Ebay, Craigslist, or a local paper. But thats where you need the police report so that you can have your stuff recovered when you find it.

damn! this same thing happened to me a few month back. The broke the quarter panel in the rear door and got in... this kid was not looking for seats, radio or gauges. My evo is the only evo around this area and im wingless. For some reason I feel he was looking for silver lancer and got mine by mistake...

He stepped all over my seat and ****ed everything up.. but luckly nothing was stolen. Worst part? this was at 7 pm in the parking lot.

I hope you find them. I feel ya!
