Just bought an 03 need help please!
This is the second car I know of to be re-sold by Booth, both Evo VIII's, and both with trouble.
Nick is an excelent tuner, I doubt it has anything to do with Mac.
Tobz is strictly an Evo guy, he knows his stuff, but I feel you would be throwing money at a problem that could most likely be solved from changing the bypass valve.
MY $.02

Take it to Harvey at the Boost Creep www.theboostcreepltd.com
He is the best STi tuner in the state, and he does a HELL of a job with Evos. He'll be able to get you all sorted out.

That T is def. for a boost gauge, but as for the bov, you need to get a recirculation kit, the hks flutters and makes your car runs like a turd vented and i too have an hks bov without a problem recirculated. But what's with all the oil splatted on your intake manifold?
Take off the HKS immediately!!! Recirculate that air and get a cheap *** autometer off the shelf boost gauge for now, turn your boost controller up to 21/22 lbs (gas) and be done. If there's still an issue call Nick at Mac to look at his tune. I'm more than sure he would be happy to check it out. He is very professional and would want to make sure the tuning was not the problem.
Check your plugs as well. Most likely fouled or old knowing the reputation of this dealer.
I'm going to send him this link, let him tell you whats what.
On another note , VTA at this altitude is not very functional with the available spring tension in VTA DV applications.

It looks like she has been ridden hard and put away wet. Definitely a few red flags looking at the pics of the engine bay. I would suggest eating ramen to save $$ and get her to a quality shop/tuner asap. Agreed on the HKS, stock MR DV is a great option or buy the recirc kit for the HKS. Either way, make sure you are nice to her until you can afford to get things sorted out.
Well here is the deal i still have paperwork the dealer needs so should i just bring it back and say fix the F**king thing or else My mom is an attorney at law in colorado so i don't think they will really fight with me about it.
If there is anyway you can return the car to the dealer and get a full refund, I'd go that rout. I'm sure if you looked around you'd find something alot nicer and less trouble for less money also. Just my 2cents.
Take it back and go to ADI AutoSport they are off of Evans pretty much look them up on google or something. If you dont end up taking it back get on COLORADOEVO.com and you will find Brian Tobz easier and better that way if you have not already, another thing you could do is type in tobzperformance tuning in google and find him that way as well. Good Luck
