I was considering selling mine but it seems that none of them are moving. In the classified sections, it seems that the only attention the "for sale" thread is getting is by the person who started it bumping a lower price... I have 06 with 25k miles and was sad to see similar ones going for under 20k. Maybe when the prices go back up (hopefully) I'll reconsider.

Your Evo is the kind I was looking for to be around 23k.

Because you are asking too much. I'd ask $20k for my car if I were to sell it, and that is with considerably more mods that your car with less miles. Fact is these cars aren't going for crap these days. The market has really fallen off in the last year. Most importantly, the EVO has a very small demographic, and there are other cars out there to choose from that offer the same performance for the same money. Hell you can buy a C5 Corvette Z06 with a factory warranty for $20K. E46 BMW M3, Audi S4, STI, etc are all in the price range and very worthy competitors. There's a lot to choose from with $20k these days.

Just for example:

its because alot of evos now are real beat, higher miles, and have accidents. the nice clean ones with lower miles and no or few mods sell for alot also no accidents. my friend just sold his ix mr with 30k miles for 27grand

I've seen way too many potential buyers get an evo and then be pissed because the TCase, transmission or clutch was on its way out when they bought and a few months/weeks into ownership they have to shell out a couple grand more in cash to get it working.

My wife wants an Evo. I bought my 06 for 15k and traded the buyer my motorcycle for it. I plan to spend 16-22k for a clean evo fro my wife. I'll be setting aside about 3-5 for a new twin Exedy, shep tcase and transmission as well.

Used car market sucks for everyone....used house market sucks fro everyone. No one has money and situations change. I know alot of people that bought newer cars a few years ago but lost their jobs and couldn't find something in the same pay range and settled on whatever they could find.....they had to change their lifestyle drastically. They try to be patient and sell their cars for a reasonable price but then the clock is ticking.......do you hold out for a few more grand that you should get or do you get what you can and do what you need to do for the betterment of your family.

Those of us with families if we've ever been put in those positions know the answer........when you are responsible for more then yourself you "do what you need to do".

economy is bad people you need to realize it alot of people will not do a turbo upgrade for 1600 let alone buy any car for 15k+. you have to watch what you buy now and days lol. All i know is im modding this evo now making it brand new with all new parts then i will not have to worry about anything for along time. if the economy improves there will be sales and prices will increase but dont expect to sell your evo then get another one dirt cheap later on once things improve
