Fuel Filter Replacement Questions

hope this is in the right forum. I am trying to get a grasp on what I need to order to replace the fuel filter. I am getting confused from the other forums I have found. So do I have this correct? there is an in-tank fuel filter? i think it might be this one? http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/cart/?pn=MB129895

also.. is what looks like a filter on the bottom middle of the car actually what many are referrng to as a sock? and can i replace this? where do i get this part online?

THANKS

there's a sock that acts as a filter on the intake line, but the actual fuel filter is made inside the pump. to replace the filter, you have to replace the entire pump. i did some searching on here, and there are threads about this.

If you just need the filter get the kit without the pump.
Is the pump a walbro 255?

While your in there you might as well upgrade the pump.

The sock is the only serviceable part, if you want to call it serviceable.

And like ak47po said why not upgrade while you are in there

There is another filter in the other side of the tank. Weather or not it is serviceable, I don't know.
