My evo feels like a lancer

Got a new exedy clutch installed a couple days ago. Installed a perrin intake yesterday. Noticed that it has become extremely slow now, even will my foot on the pedal it doesnt seem fast at all as it was before. Not sure if its the intake, boost, or a hose that needs to be connected somewhere.. I think one of my hoses isn't connected anywhere, not sure where to put it.. Ill have to get more info on what that hose is I just drove 10 hours so ill get back on that. Im pissed, just one problem after another.

Do you have a boost gauge? My first guess is that you have a massive boost leak or maybe your oem boost solenoid got disconnected. A clutch job is a pretty big job so who knows you probably have an intercooler pipe not even tightened up

If you just put an intake on your car, your going to have to get a retune also as your moving more air past the MAF now and throwing off your A/F ratio.

thats not true. You wouldnt need a tune by simply replacing the intake . Anyway sounds like you have a boost leak . Like stated above before you do anything do a boost leak test. Gl

Yeah I am going to vote boost leak also. I put my full exhaust, intake, mbc on and I didnt have any issue driving for a few days before I got tuned.

Now why would the OP wants to get on boost right after install of a new clutch? Peddle to the metal is "full boost" = life of the clutch goes down unless Exedy don't require break-in for their clutches.

Do a boost leak test. Most likely there is a problem with one of your couplers or vacuum lines.

Maybe that hose that my friend disconnected was important.. Hmm.. Thanks guys ill look into it.

Also, if I cant do the boost leak test. Is it bad if I let it leak if I dont put it in boost? Ill need to break in my clutch before I do that.

Found out it was the vacuum valve cover vent hose not being properly zip tied down. Leave it to my friends to mess something up huh. Thanks for all the feedback everyone.

Have you had a tune since installing the intake?
