sounds like your battery is dying, or your alternator isnt putting out enough. Take your battery to an autozone and they will test/charge for you!

Do you have a tactrix cable? Why don't you try adjusting some of the idle limits in the ecu? See if there is any difference.

Start the car and run it to idle then disconnect the negative terminal. If the car continues to run then you know it's not the alternator. The only other thing I can think of is the wiring harness that runs into the car next to the left foot kick panel. Alot of evo owners have issues with the car shutting off, horn going off on it's own, headlights not turning on or off wipers with a mind of its own.

yea i know what panel your talking about. i will pull it off and have a look. but the car never see's winter or rain so my guess is its fine. i will also pull the terminal and see how it runs.

Umm, Lol i think 20 people said to check the alt. and bat. They are obviously both fine....

IS there another evo around you? Maybe the problem is within the ballasts of the hid lights. One could have went bad and is now sucking up a bunch of power when turned on causing your car idle to die.

Try swaping ballasts in your car with someone in a 03 evo for a quick test.

^ just an idea... But i would double check them idle seetings as well.

Good Luck

To be honest is sounds like you have a bad ground or supply connected to the battery, or possibly one of the ballasts.

It's highly unlikely there is a short in the vehicle since a short would probably blow a fuse.
