Evo threw a code today ( P0S07 ) Anyone know why it did?
Went to Advance Auto today to get the code checked ( again ) and it poped up the same code, P0S07. It said it was ICS ( High idle ) Idler control system?? What could have caused it?
IDK if the car has cams, jus bought it a few weeks ago, kinda sounds like it tho. It idles at 1200 to 1500, and i used TB cleaner the other day, but it threw the code way b4 i cleaned it

that or a vacuum leak past the maf.i keep getting that code to (although i dont have an evo) and ive ruled out leak so im assuming mines a bad sensor. check for leaks before you get a new sensor

Vague enough? You do know there are probably 20 different "sensors" on our cars, right? OP, as for your high idle, there could be a number of things going wrong. My best guess would be a vacuum leak at the intake manifold. It doesn't take much of a leak to raise the idle that high. There are a few ways to find a leak. The best way is to use a propane torch (unlit). Just turn the gas on very low and direct propane to areas where a leak could happen- ie gaskets, injectors, t-body seals, etc. If you have a leak, when propane enters the intake though the leak, the engine RPM will change. You can also spray carburetor cleaner in the same areas if you don't have a propane torch, but this isn't as accurate. If you don't have a leak, I would suggest buying a tactrix cable and evoscan and log some data at idle.
It could be several things. 1 make sure there is plenty of slack in the throttle cable ( two tens on the intake manifold allow you to adjust) 2. someone could have played with the BISS (base idle set screw) 3. could be tampered with in the tune 4. vac leak.
To start id look at the cable to make sure thats ok, then id do a boost leak test. Just search in the how to section on how to make a boost leak tester and the proper procedure, its a possibility that this could the issues you were asking about in another thread. Pm me if you want my number I can try to give you a few pointers while you are looking at the car.

20 sensors yes but only 1 for the code he's throwing. When I removed my intake mani I had the tension too high with about 2500 rpm idle on the throttle cable. I do doubt it's the cable because the high rpm would be noticeable.
Here's my list of possibilites: Egr nipple popped off, tb gasket leak or bad IACv(stuck).
I posted up the voltage for a properly working iacv. Take it off and volt test it.

Iacv is the sensor on the harness that doesn't use a pin to secure. The egr is dirctly below the TB. Hard to see with UICP. Feel below t the right of the TB for a loose hose. Now I would eliminate this because you would have got P0401. Which u don't have.
I am sticking to my original. Bad sensor, IACV to be exact.
